I am Nolubabalo Nqgoyiyana and I come originally from Lady Frere in the Eastern Cape. My husband works as a part-time builder and we have three children between the ages of 10 and 16 years who all attend school. I am also responsible for two step-children.
I have been running a small convenience shop from my house for the last two years. I sell essentials such as sugar, milk, bread, etc. On school days I augment this income by selling chips, fruit and snacks outside the school premises. While these two enterprises supply a small income, I want to expand the range of stock to include mealie meal, rice, vegetables and other household products. I have managed to obtain a fridge from a soft-drink supplier but need the loan to purchase the additional stock.
Total loan applied for R4,000
This project has been set up to succeed through a careful vetting process together with ongoing mentorship and management. Repayment of your loan will only take place at the end of the loan period (usually 12 months) and not monthly. However, as we cannot give any guarantees, in the unlikely event that the project does fail you will not receive the full repayment of your loan but a pro rata percentage depending upon what portion of the loan has been recovered from the business owner.
