Nolukholo (Cleo) Mgqolozana has worked for 8 years as a lab assistant in Sandbaai. Because of her passion for business she has developed a part-time business selling shoes and has recently branched out into selling fragrances. She has been selling shoes for the past 2 years and has a customer base of about 45. She is requesting a loan to allow her to buy shoes in quantity in Cape Town in order to reduce the cost per item. She has demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment, but it is her flair for marketing and promoting her products through personal interaction, Facebook and WhatsApp that is most impressive. She puts her items on these social media, showing designs and sizes she has in stock which enables her to meet her customer’s last-minute demands. “The loan will enable me to have a greater range in stock. Shoes are a need, not just a want, but they are also a form of retail therapy.”
Total loan applied for R10000
This project has been set up to succeed through a careful vetting process together with ongoing mentorship and management. Repayment of your loan will only take place at the end of the loan period (usually 12 months) and not monthly. However, as we cannot give any guarantees, in the unlikely event that the project does fail you will not receive the full repayment of your loan but a pro rata percentage depending upon what portion of the loan has been recovered from the business owner.
When clicking on the crowdfunding page you may find that your chosen project is already ENDED. This means that either the project is already fully funded or, that the time available to raise the funds has elapsed. In which case kindly search for another project to contribute towards.
