Nomonde Nkanunu – Nomonde worked for many years with the local municipality up to 2015. She unfortunately was not re-employed after being laid off work for a long period due to illness. Instead of complaining, Nomonde, together with her husband, started a small business from home, selling fruit and vegetables, handbags and perfumes, and braai meat on weekends. Nomonde is applying for a loan of R5 000 to purchase additional stock, some shelving and a display stand, and an advertising board, to help grow her small business into a proper spaza shop
Total loan applied for R5000
This project has been set up to succeed through a careful vetting process together with ongoing mentorship and management. Repayment of your loan will only take place at the end of the loan period (usually 12 months) and not monthly. However, as we cannot give any guarantees, in the unlikely event that the project does fail you will not receive the full repayment of your loan but a pro rata percentage depending upon what portion of the loan has been recovered from the business owner.
