Noline Samuel started her cooked and raw pork meat business at the beginning of 2019. She is a widow with 4 children to support and has been building her family home in the Eastern Cape over a period of time. She earns money from occasional subcontract building tenders for low cost housing.
She is an active member of her local Stokvel and participated in the entrepreneurial course that was offered by The Grootbos Foundation in 2019. She supplements her income by purchasing pigs from local farmers and selling fresh meat and braaied pork on weekends on a busy pedestrian route through Marikana in Zwelihle township. Noline requires a loan of R4,000 to enable her to double her capacity by ensuring an adequate supply of meat. She is confident that the increased income will help to furnish the home she has built in the Eastern Cape.
Total loan applied for R4000
This project has been set up to succeed through a careful vetting process together with ongoing mentorship and management. Repayment of your loan will only take place at the end of the loan period (usually 12 months) and not monthly. However, as we cannot give any guarantees, in the unlikely event that the project does fail you will not receive the full repayment of your loan but a pro rata percentage depending upon what portion of the loan has been recovered from the business owner.
