Beauty Dumileyo is an enterprising business owner who was Hermanus Siyakha’s first loan recipient in December 2018. She used the funding to purchase a freezer and stock for her business -she sells pork cuts, cow offal and processed sausages from her home in Zwelihle.
Despite the challenges presented by the economic environment as well as family bereavement, her business has done well and Beauty qualifies for a second loan as a result of repaying her initial loan in full. She is now applying for a loan of R8,000 with two purposes in mind: the first is to purchase stock to sell pre-packed chicken portions – she will only supply on committed orders placed with her. The second purpose is to use a small portion of the loan to buy fabric to make clothing for girls and young women.

This project has been set up to succeed through a careful vetting process together with ongoing mentorship and management. Repayment of your loan will only take place at the end of the loan period (usually 12 months) and not monthly. However, as we cannot give any guarantees, in the unlikely event that the project does fail you will not receive the full repayment of your loan but a pro rata percentage depending upon what portion of the loan has been recovered from the business owner.
